Three leaders expelled from Jubo League for attending NCP roadshow in Kishoreganj

The District Jubo League has expelled three leaders, including Golam Kabir, the general secretary of Itna Upazila Jubo League in Kishoreganj, from the party for participating in a road meeting organized by the National Citizens Party (NCP). The other two are Kamruzzaman, a member of the Kishoreganj District Jubo League’s convening committee, and Baset Ahmed, a member of Itna Upazila Jubo League. According to party sources, Golam Kabir, the general secretary of Itna Upazila Jubo League, spoke on the stage of the NCP’s road meeting held in the Puran Thana area of Kishoreganj district town on July 26. When the speech went viral on social media, various reactions arose within the party. Apart from that, Kamruzzaman, a member of the district Jubo League’s convening committee, and Baset Ahmed, a member of Itna Upazila Jubo League, also participated in the road meeting. Later, action was taken against them on charges of breach of discipline as per Article 22(a) of the party constitution.

On Sunday night, a press release signed by Kishoreganj District Jubo League convener Aminul Islam, joint convener Mir Aminul Islam and Md. Ruhul Amin Khan was published on social media. However, the three leaders of the district Jubo League who signed the press release are currently absconding. The expelled Golam Kabir said that he left the Jubo League in 2018 and participated in the quota reform movement. Later, he also actively worked in the field in the July Movement.
